Overview

Gambhira is the famous dance form of north Bengal. Shakti worshippers perform Gambhira, a sacred devotional dance. The dance is named after the Chandi Mandir - Gambhira's dance hall, which features a specifically built pavilion in front of the shrine for the dance.
