Biography

Michael Sean McCary (born December 16, 1971) is an American singer, known for being a former bass singer of the R&B group Boyz II Men (in which he was sometimes known as Mike Bass). After an encounter in a school bathroom with the members of Boyz II Men, McCary started singing along with the group and eventually became the group's new bass singer. After signing to Motown in 1991, they released their debut album, Cooleyhighharmony. Boyz II Men would quickly start to climb music charts with songs such as; I'll Make Love to You (1994) and Water Runs Dry (1995). In 1996, the group released the single One Sweet Day with Mariah Carey. Boyz II Men are best known for their vocal harmonies. McCary sings bass in the group. In 2003, McCary left Boyz II Men due to back spasms that were eventually and ultimately diagnosed as multiple sclerosis. McCary kept his condition from the other band members and did not make it...
