Biography

"Moon Ji-won" (Korean: 문지원, Seoul, July 17, 1995), better known as "Ji-Moon", is a Korean-Mexican actress and dancer, known for playing Hye-Jin in the Disney+ series "L-Pop"(2023). Ji-Moon was born in Seoul, South Korea while her father worked at a Samsung factory, however, at 4 months old, she moved to Mexico with her parents and older sister. As she grew up she quickly absorbed the Mexican identity and customs at her school, feeling Mexican. It was during high school that she began to notice significant changes in the way others viewed her, and how she was different from others, not only genetically, but also culturally, even hating being Korean, due to racist treatment of her. Feeling frustrated by her situation, she asked her parents to let her go to study in the United States, where she attended high school in Boston, Massachusetts.
